The Interlock Mercury G3 is best suited for homeowners who want a smart gate lock with advanced unlocking methods, stronger gate visibility, visitor awareness, parcel monitoring, and remote app access. It is designed for Singapore metal gate setups, including common HDB, condominium gates.
The Mercury G3 is Singapore’s first dual-camera smart gate lock, with one upper camera for visitor viewing and one lower camera for parcel or floor-level monitoring. This gives homeowners greater awareness of what is happening around the gate, beyond basic unlocking.
The upper camera helps you view visitors at face level, while the lower camera helps you monitor parcels, items, or movement near the floor area. This is especially useful for deliveries, as activities around the gate can happen at different heights.
Yes. The Mercury G3 supports app-based live viewing, allowing you to check visitors remotely through your smartphone when the lock is connected to a stable WiFi network.
Yes. The lower camera improves parcel and floor-level awareness near your gate. This can help you notice deliveries, items left outside, or movement that may not be captured as clearly by a normal face-level camera.
The Mercury G3 is secondarily designed for convenient visitor viewing, video intercom use, and supplementary gate-area monitoring. It is not intended to replace a dedicated CCTV system, and its frame rate may be lower with an occasional short delay. You can ask us to provide an actual video sample before confirmation so that you can understand the expected viewing quality comfortably.
As the camera is built directly into the digital gate lock, it is designed mainly for convenient visitor viewing and supplementary monitoring rather than continuous CCTV-style recording. A short delay or lower frame rate may occasionally occur, and the viewing experience can also be affected by the home WiFi environment.
Yes. The Mercury G3 supports facial recognition unlocking, allowing authorised users to unlock the gate hands-free without relying only on fingerprint, PIN code, card, or app access.
Yes. The Mercury G3 supports palm vein recognition as one of its biometric access methods. This provides a convenient contactless alternative for users who may not always get consistent fingerprint recognition.
From outside the gate, the Mercury G3 supports fingerprint, passcode, NFC card or tag, facial recognition, palm vein recognition, and remote unlocking through the app when the lock is connected to WiFi.
From inside the gate, the Mercury G3 supports fingerprint unlocking, mechanical key access, and remote keyfob controller unlocking.
Yes. When the Mercury G3 is connected to WiFi and online, authorised administrators can unlock and manage access remotely through the mobile app.
Yes. When connected to WiFi, the Mercury G3 supports remote unlocking through the app. This can be useful for trusted family members, helpers, or visitors. For security, you should always confirm who is at the gate before unlocking it remotely.
The Mercury G3 requires a dedicated 2.4 GHz WiFi network with a unique SSID for its app, camera, notification, and remote functions. A dedicated 2.4 GHz connection should be available near the gate before installation.
For better connection stability, position the router reasonably near the gate and keep a clearer path between the router and lock where possible. If adjustments are required, using a 20 MHz channel width and fixing the 2.4 GHz WiFi channel to 1, 6, or 11 may help improve stability.
WiFi performance can vary between homes because it depends on the router, distance, home layout, metal obstruction, nearby devices, and wireless interference. Most customers can use the connected functions smoothly with the correct setup, but performance may differ slightly between households.
Yes. WiFi is mainly required for remote app, camera, and notification functions. If WiFi is temporarily unavailable, you can still unlock the gate using facial recognition, palm vein recognition, fingerprint, PIN code, NFC card or tag, remote controller, or mechanical key access where applicable.
Yes. The Mercury G3 supports mobile notifications for selected gate activity, visitors, motion detection, and access events, depending on the app settings and WiFi connection.
Yes. The Mercury G3 supports activity logging, allowing you to review access records and selected monitoring history. Properly binding each locally registered lock user to the relevant household member in the app can also help make the activity records easier to identify.
Yes. The Mercury G3 includes tamper detection features designed to alert homeowners to unusual activity or possible forced interference around the gate lock.
The basic lock and unlocking functions do not require a paid cloud video subscription. The Mercury G3 includes a complimentary cloud storage trial for video recordings, and continued cloud video storage may require an optional subscription after the trial. Photo cloud storage and supported local storage options may still be available depending on the app configuration.
The Mercury G3 includes a complimentary trial for cloud video recording. After the trial, continued cloud video storage may require a subscription. Supported local storage options may also allow selected videos or photos to be stored without a paid cloud plan.
Yes. The Mercury G3 supports cloud image storage for recent snapshots at no additional charge, depending on the supported app setup. Images may be stored on a rolling basis and automatically removed after the applicable storage period.
One full charge can generally last approximately two to four months, depending on household size, unlocking frequency, camera usage, motion activity, and WiFi usage. For better long-term battery health, we recommend charging it once a month, especially for larger households or higher-usage homes.
Please charge the battery using the USB-A to USB-C cable provided by Interlock together with a standard 5V/2A USB-A adaptor. A lower-current 5V adaptor can also be used, although charging may take longer. A full charge usually takes approximately four to six hours.
No. Quick-charge, fast-charge, Power Delivery, 9V, or 12V charging adaptors should not be used. These chargers may affect the battery-level reading, shorten the battery lifespan, or damage the battery. Battery damage caused by an unsuitable charging method is not covered under warranty.
The Mercury G3 provides low-battery alerts and an emergency power port. If the battery is fully depleted, you can temporarily power the lock using a portable 5V/2A power bank to regain access. The battery should then be fully recharged using the recommended charging method.
Yes. If the lock battery is depleted, you can use the emergency power port with a portable power bank for temporary activation. This is intended for emergency access rather than regular charging.
Yes. Multiple household members can be registered with their own fingerprint, face recognition, palm recognition, PIN, or card access, subject to the supported user capacity.
For the most reliable setup, register each fingerprint, face, palm, PIN, or card directly through the lock first. The locally registered lock user can then be bound to the correct household member in the Tuya app.
The app includes a remote registration function, but this function is currently still being improved and may not complete consistently in every attempt. For the most reliable setup and clearer activity records, we recommend registering each access method directly through the lock before binding the user in the app.
Yes. The Mercury G3 is designed for common Singapore metal gate setups, including many HDB gates. However, compatibility still depends on the actual gate design, available lock area, gate gap, and installation clearance.
Yes. The Mercury G3 can be suitable for condominium metal gates, depending on the gate structure and available installation space. A compatibility assessment should be completed before purchase.
Not every metal gate will be suitable. Some gates may have limited lock space, narrow gate-to-door clearance, unusual frame designs, existing lock holes, or other installation restrictions. A photo-based compatibility assessment is required before confirming installation.
Please send clear photos showing the front and back of the gate, the existing lock area, the gate frame, and the door and gate closed together. If possible, also provide the gate-to-door distance so that our team can assess the available installation clearance.
Yes. The Mercury G3 can be suitable for elderly users because it provides several access methods, including facial recognition, palm vein recognition, fingerprint, card or tag, PIN code, remote controller, and mechanical key access. This gives each household member the flexibility to use the method that is most comfortable for them.
Yes. Children can use suitable access methods such as card or tag, PIN code, fingerprint, or palm vein recognition depending on their height, habits, and family preference. For younger children, parents may prefer simpler methods such as tags or PIN codes.
Yes. The Mercury G3 includes mechanical keys for internal emergency unlocking.
Yes. The Mercury G3 includes access tags that can be registered for convenient unlocking by household members.
Yes. The Mercury G3 includes a remote controller, which can be used as one of the unlocking methods from inside the home.
The Mercury G3 is designed for suitable Singapore gate environments, but it should still be protected from direct heavy rain exposure where possible. For unsheltered or highly exposed gates, please check the installation suitability before purchase.
The Mercury G3 comes with a 1-year local warranty. Warranty coverage is subject to the recommended usage, charging, installation, and environmental conditions.
Yes. Complimentary installation is included for the Mercury G3. Before installation is confirmed, we will need to assess your gate photos to ensure that the gate design, available lock area, gate gap, and door-to-gate clearance are suitable.
The Mercury G3 is suitable for homeowners who want a feature-rich smart gate lock with advanced biometric access, dual-camera visitor and parcel awareness, remote app functions, mobile alerts, and professional installation. It is especially useful for households where deliveries, visitors, and greater gate-area awareness are important.
