The Mercury DB2 puts a 7 inch screen on your wall. In about a second, whoever is home sees exactly who's outside, talks to them, and decides whether to open up. No phone, no app, no guessing.
3pm. Mum is home alone.
A man at the gate says he's here to "check something". Mum doesn't recognise him. She sees him on the screen, taps to talk, and asks him to come back when her son is home.

Parcel thefts from HDB corridors keep making the news, sometimes minutes after the delivery rider leaves. When someone walks up to your door, the DB2's motion sensor picks them up and records a clip automatically, before they've even touched the bell.
Here's what most doorbells get wrong: they keep the recordings in the outdoor unit. The DB2 saves them on the 32GB microSD card inside the indoor display, in your home. Even if someone pulls the doorbell off the door, the evidence stays with you.

The outdoor unit and the indoor display talk directly to each other. If your internet goes down, the display still rings, still shows your visitor and still records. Only checking from your phone pauses until you're back online.
When your Wi-Fi is up, the DB2 connects on 2.4GHz or 5GHz. Most doorbells only use the crowded 2.4GHz band. 5GHz gives the video a clearer lane, so live view stays smooth. Your visitor appears on the screen in about 1 second, and on your phone in about 3 to 5 seconds.
