FAQ

What type of batteries are used for Digital door locks?  

Use only 1.5V AA Alkaline batteries for digital door locks (eg. Energizer Max, Duracell, etc).

Exceptions: Some smart locks with Door viewer feature, require rechargeable batteries (Lithium Ion) rating specified by manufacturers.

How frequently do I have to change a new set of Alkaline batteries?   

Based on 10 openings daily, generally the locks can last from 6 months to 18 months.   For good practice, replace a new set of Alkaline batteries every 6 months even if there is no low batt. Indicator lighted.   As the longer the batteries have been used, the higher the risk of the batteries leak. The battery leak can kill the lock.

When inside batteries are forgotten to be replaced in time and locked outside, how can I open the door?

For Korean locks, you can use a 9V alkaline battery to power the lock from outside (via the two terminals) and use the usual access method to unlock.
For Chinese smart locks, you can use a Power bank to power the lock from outside (via the type C cable) and use the usual access method to unlock.

When my lock is not functioning normally, what should I do?

 Kindly change a new set of Alkaline batteries (to eliminate the cause of weak batteries).   If the problem persists, please take a video (with light, indicator, sound and movement).   Send the video with brand & model #, with problem description to our support whatsapp.
