The Aqara G410 combines a 2K video doorbell with a built-in Matter, Zigbee and Thread hub, so it can both watch your door and act as the backbone of a wider Aqara smart home setup — no separate hub box required. If you're starting a smart home from the doorbell outward, this single device does the job two separate purchases would otherwise cover.
2K Video with a 175° View
A 2048×1536 resolution sensor with a 175-degree ultra-wide lens and a 4:3 aspect ratio captures both faces and parcels on the ground in a single frame — the taller 4:3 ratio in particular is a deliberate choice, since a wider 16:9 doorbell camera frame often crops out exactly the parcel sitting at someone's feet.
mmWave Radar Detection
Instead of relying on a traditional PIR motion sensor, the G410 uses mmWave radar combined with AI detection to tell the difference between a person genuinely lingering at your door and background movement like passing traffic, blowing leaves, or a moving car headlight sweeping across the frame — meaningfully cutting down on the false alerts that plague older PIR-based doorbell cameras.
On-Device Facial Recognition
Familiar faces can be recognised locally on the device for personalised alerts and automations, in keeping with Aqara's general approach of processing biometric data on-device rather than in the cloud — so identifying who's at the door doesn't mean sending a photo of them to a remote server first, and recognition keeps working even during a rare internet outage.
Apple HomeKit Secure Video Support
For Apple households, the G410 works with HomeKit Secure Video: video analysis and notifications happen right on your own Apple devices, and anything stored is end-to-end encrypted in your iCloud account rather than sitting on a third-party server — a meaningfully more private setup than most video doorbells offer, and it works alongside Google Home and Alexa integration for everyone else in the household. (Requires a supported iCloud+ plan and a HomePod, HomePod mini, Apple TV or iPad set up as a home hub.)
Two-Way Talk & Privacy Controls
Two-way audio lets you speak to visitors remotely through the app, whether you're upstairs or across the world, and the doorbell can push a notification the moment someone rings so you're never caught off guard. Do Not Disturb scheduling keeps a late-night ring from waking the household, and dedicated privacy masking lets you black out specific areas of the frame — useful if your doorbell's view happens to catch a neighbour's window or walkway.
Storage & Connectivity
Supports up to 512GB of local microSD storage, so footage stays safely on your own card, with an included indoor chime that repeats the doorbell notification through the house and can store its own local backup too.
Power
Runs on 6x AA batteries for up to 5 months, or can be hardwired for permanent power where a doorbell transformer is already available — useful if you're replacing an existing wired doorbell and don't want to think about batteries at all.
