When used with compatible Aqara door locks, it can also support convenient door-and-gate unlocking for smoother daily entry.

Premium Alternative Aqara Gate Lock Setup: Aqara U400

The Aqara U400 is available as a premium alternative Aqara gate lock setup for homeowners who want newer smart lock features such as UWB hands-free unlocking, Apple Home Key, fingerprint unlocking, PIN code, NFC access, app control, voice control, mechanical key backup, and Matter over Thread support.

Unlike the U500, the U400 is not positioned as the dedicated Aqara gate lock option. Instead, it is suitable for homeowners who prefer a premium Aqara smart lock setup with advanced Apple Home and Matter features, subject to gate compatibility and installation requirements.

UWB hands-free unlocking allows selected iPhone or Apple Watch users to unlock by approaching the lock, when used with the required compatible Apple device and Thread-enabled Apple home hub. Matter over Thread support also requires the appropriate Thread Border Router and Matter Controller setup. Uses rechargeable lithium ion batteries.

Alternative Aqara Gate Lock Setup: Aqara U100

The Aqara U100 remains available as an alternative Aqara gate lock setup for homeowners who want flexible smart access options such as fingerprint unlocking, PIN code, Apple Home Key, NFC, app control, and Aqara automation support.

The U100 setup is especially suitable for users who want to create custom door-and-gate unlocking scenarios within the Aqara ecosystem, such as syncing the gate and door only for selected unlocking methods.

With Aqara automations, you can create unique unlocking rules based on your household needs. For example, you may allow both the gate and door to unlock together for your own PIN, Apple Home Key, or selected access method, while keeping other access methods separate for guests, helpers, or delivery use.

All door lock options in this bundle — Aqara D200i, D100, and A100 — are designed for Singapore main door use and provide smart access management through multiple unlocking methods such as PIN codes, fingerprint, face recognition, NFC/card access, app control, and mechanical key backup, depending on the selected model.
